Our Vision Is A World Without Breast Cancer.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the world's largest and most progressive grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists. Founded on a promise between two sisters, Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the face and voice of the global breast cancer movement.  Made up of local Affiliates in 125 cities and communities and advocates at the local, state and federal level, Susan G. Komen for the Cure is a cause without borders.

The Central Georgia Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is made up of an eight county service area including: Baldwin, Bibb, Crawford, Houston, Jones, Monroe, Peach and Twiggs. Formed in 1999, the first Komen Central Georgia Race for the Cure was held in October 2000. In just a few short years, the Central Georgia Affiliate has grown from a small group of women who knew more needed to be done to help address the breast health needs of central Georgia, to a network of survivors and activists on a mission and with a vision to end breast cancer forever.
